Better Homes & Gardens

Authentic Roof Australia was certainly the star of the show in the roofing segment of the July 10 episode of Australian lifestyle giant, Better Homes & Gardens.

It easily outshone all other roofing options featured in terms of strength, durability and beauty. Host Rob Palmer couldn't help but be impressed when failed to damage the slates after bashing them with his hammer... Is there any other roofing system who could boast the ability to withstand that!?

Be sure to check out the August issue of the magazine to see us mentioned!

Taking waste and creating beauty...

The Eco-friendly Option.

Long before building "green" was fashionable, the producers of the Authentic Roof slates were committed to producing a quality synthetic roofing product using recycled materials. Even with the dramatic increase in individuals, builders and architects looking for building solutions that minimise the negative impact on the environment, sustainable roofing products are extremely difficult to find.

Recycled.

About 80% of an automobile is recyclable - mainly the metal parts. The US Environmental Defense Fund estimates that the other 20% ends up in landfill to the tune of 5 million tonnes per year in the USA alone. Authentic Roof slates are made from recycled postindustrial waste from auto industry products - namely high-quality recycled polymers found in bumpers, tyres, trim or interiors taken from the "other 20%" that would otherwise end up in ever-increasing heaps of landfill.

Recyclable.

The Authentic Roof slates are 100% recyclable. They are, however, one of the most durable, indestructable roofing materials available and with a 50 year manufacturers limited warranty, it is unlikely that you will even have to consider replacing this roof in your lifetime.

Safe for run-off water.

Our slates contain no toxic chemicals or plasticisers that can leach out into rain water run-off. The slates have no colour coating and tests have shown that your rain water will remain unaffected after having run over your Authentic Roof and into your rainwater tank.

At a glance...

Eco-friendly.

Made from recycled postindustrial waste from auto industry products, and completely recyclable - not that it needs to be with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty!

Virtually Unbreakable.

The most indestructable thermoplastics have been used to create this product - view the hammer test video on our site to see for yourself how strong these slates are.

Extremely Lightweight.

Our slate weighs about 1/4 of the weight of natural slate per square metre and requires no extra roof supports for installation, saving you time and money!

Fade-resistant.

The UV protection and colour-through process leaves you with a roof that will remain unaltered in appearance decades after installation.

Maintenance free.

The surface is designed to hide any scratches and be mould-resistant. This, coupled with the fact that the slates won't crack, split or fade means you are left with a roof that requires no work to maintain it's original beauty.

Flexible

The slates are slightly flexible making them perfect for a curved roof or Indonesian-inspired gazebo or pool-house.

Simple to install

No need for specialist slate roof layers - anyone with a basic knowledge of proper roofing procedure could easily follow the guides on the slates a lay this roof.
